Role Overview

As the Marketing and Events Coordinator (East) you will be Phillips’ eyes and ears on the ground in Ontario. You are an outgoing team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to make creative ideas come to life. You are social media savvy with a deep passion for growing the Phillips footprint in Ontario through content marketing, events, field activations, and relationship building.

As the Marketing and Events Coordinator (East) you will be our on the ground brand expert and will be able to meet with partners to share the Phillips Brewing story.Your work ethic is unmatched, and you embody our culture through your good-natured approachability and playfulness. You will be a deeply embedded member of the local craft beer, events, and arts community.

This is a remote role based in Toronto, Ontario reporting into the Brand and Consumer Engagement Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Content marketing development and execution (in partnership with West team member)
Social media and community management (in partnership with West team member)
Field marketing support and relationship management in key markets within Ontario
Report on market insights on local craft beer consumer trends
Support implementation of brand strategy
Local event execution and coordination
Responsible for planning keg allocation, logistics coordination, labour management for events
Execute site buildout, provide service oversight, restock trailers when applicable for events
Support local sponsorship development and coordination
Ad hoc/seasonal campaign support

Required Skills/Experience

Completed post secondary education (diploma or undergrad degree) in Marketing, Communications, or similar
Results driven social media content creation and execution skills
Experience in event coordination and execution
Effective oral and written communication skills
Time management and organizational skills
Detail oriented and thorough in all work
Entrepreneurial spirit and comfortable with creative solutions to problems
Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite
Ability to think creatively and critically
Enthusiastic relationship builder and networker
Collaborative team player with comfortability working remote
Enjoy craft beer and craft spirits and a deep appreciation for the importance of company culture
Must possess a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record (company vehicle will be provided)

Nice to Have Skills/Experience

Experience in CPG, beverage, or alcohol
Photography and videography skills
Graphic design skills (preferably Adobe suite)
Field marketing experience
